I'm so glad we found Dr. Scott Jacobs, formerly of VCA Peninsula Animal Hospital in Point Loma, at his new location in La Mesa. He's the new owner of Fletcher Hills Animal Hospital (the former owner retired). Our large elderly dog adores Dr. Jacobs, who has seen him through several traumas over the years. Dr. Jacobs is extremely thorough in his examinations and has found cysts and lumps missed by other vets. He discusses treatment options in language I can understand and clearly points out the pros and cons of conservative versus more aggressive approaches, taking into account both our dog's age and the projected expense. After a visit to Dr. Jacobs, I'm confident that my dog has received the best possible care at a reasonable cost. The office is easy to get to from the 125 freeway and has plenty of free parking.

I have been taking my dogs to Fletcher Hills Animal Hospital for several years... a co-worker recommended them to me. Dr. Jacobs and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and accommodating. They treat my dogs like their own. Dr. Jacobs is the new owner, and he's great. My favorite part of the practice, though, is his staff. Thanks, Charmain, Kim and Colleen for always treating me and my Labs so well! I appreciate all you do! I highly recommend Fletcher Hills Animal Hospital.

I have been going to this vet for over 20 years and I adore them. The staff is wonderful and they truly care about my children with fur. I drive 15 miles to get to them and they are worth it!

We have taken our pets here over the last few years for planned and unplanned visits. I can't enough about how well the entire staff treats all our pets. Due to unforeseen issues, we have needed immediate help with our cats and dogs. They have always managed to work us in and have even recommended a great place we could take our pets when they are closed.

Very professional and compassionate staff and they have great prices. They treat our pets with the utmost care and have given us follow-up calls when we have had to take our furry loved one to the Pet ER. Our big male cat is at total ease here and our little puppies can't thank them enough for helping with skin and itching problems.

I have been to a lot of Vets and Pet hospitals over the years and I rate Fletcher Hills Animal Hospital at the top of the list. Not many people love pets like we do and the staff here understands how much we care. We just adopted a 4 week old kittie that got separated from her mommy. No other place I would even consider taking her. I used to live a couple blocks from here and that is how I discovered this place. I now live quite a distance but the drive is a no brain-er.

If you love your pets and want the best care, look no further.

Awesome service and very friendly staff--the listened to my pet's history, made me and my pet feel comfortable, and filled me in on what was going on.

Dr. Jacobs and his staff are top-notch. Their clear mission is the pursuit of a healthy and happy life for our pets! We are 20-year clients at FAHA, starting with previous vet-owner, Dr. Stevens, who was an animal whisperer. When he retired and my dog needed lots of vet care, I compared Dr. Jacobs to other clinics that had longer hours and (I thought) better pricing. Guess what? I returned to FAHA. Dr. Jacobs and his staff don't practice drive-in-quick vet medicine but really consider the pet's history, the newest thinking in the science, and what's best for the pet.
